Como sabem tivemos uma proposta de participação para um encontro de jovens musicólogos em Madrid entre 21 e 23 de Abril. Estes colóquios são organizados pela associação de jovens musicólogos espanhola que, provavelmente, terá objectivos semelhantes aos deste grupo. A proposta de participação foi enviada a todos os membros deste grupo. Infelizmente não houve qualquer tipo de comentário, mostra de interesse nem de pergunta por parte de algum membro dos SFA, o que implicou no meu caso e no da Luzia a avançarmos com propostas de comunicação para Madrid.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Isto penso dizer muito da situação real. Não basta queixarmo-nos que temos poucas oportunidades de mostrar o nosso trabalho ou outras lamentações. É também necessário ter a coragem e vontade de dar passos, arriscar e correr riscos que são inerentes a qualquer trabalho de investigação. É preciso "dar a cara". A inércia é o fim de qualquer grupo, associação, etc. Essa parece ser a direcção na qual os SFA estão a  dirigir-se, de facto essa é a minha opinião.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Não basta aparecer nas reuniões e enviar sugestões, idéias e opiniões e depois não participar, mostrar interesse ou realizar, colaborar algo em concreto. Essa atitude, por mim, é dispensável.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Não tenho intenção de apontar o dedo seja a quem for. Todos somos responsáveis pela situação actual e está nas nossa mãos mudar a direcção lamentável a que se dirige este grupo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Por mim não irei participar em mais nenhuma reunião dos SFA, ou divulgar os SFA, enquanto não surgirem mais pessoas dispostas a colaborarem &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;activamente&lt;/span&gt; no grupo. Se analisarmos o panorama musical europeu e americano nos últimos sessenta anos, rapidamente nos apercebemos do importante espaço que este fenómeno tem vindo a ocupar, quer em termos do número crescente de indivíduos e instituições que se dedicam a este tipo de prática e a todas as questões a ela associadas, quer pelo forte impacto na economia, e não menos importante, pela grande aceitação que esta música tem junto ao público em geral. De facto, podemos mesmo afirmar que, investigar, fazer ou ouvir este tipo de música, é nos dias de hoje, praticamente uma moda, sendo raro o músico ou ouvinte que em alguma altura da sua vida não se tenha interessado por este tipo de repertório. Talvez isto explique o facto de que até aos anos 80 do século XX, "música antiga" designar exclusivamente música composta até ao final do período barroco; e que hoje em dia são frequentes interpretações históricas de obras de Beethoven, Brahms e até mesmo Wagner, denotando qualquer tipo de prática musical que tenha preocupações históricas, e que seja reconstruída com base em partituras, tratados, instrumentos  outras evidências históricas sobreviventes.&lt;br /&gt;Examinando o panorama português, presenciamos um significativo acréscimo do interesse por este tipo de música e pelas suas respectivas práticas interpretativas, tendo em conta que passaram pouco mais de cinquenta anos, desde que se estabeleceram em Portugal, os primeiros grupos profissionais especializados na prática deste repertório, dos quais os Menestréis de Lisboa (com direcção de Santiago Kastner), o Grupo de Música Antiga (criado em 1963, com direcção de Safford Cape), ou ainda, os Segréis de Lisboa (criados, por Manuel Morais, em 1972, encontrando-se hoje, em plena actividade).&lt;br /&gt;É importante, pois restaurar os passos que precederam este processo, bem como, estabelecer um paralelo com os movimentos de ressurgimento da prática da música antiga de outros países europeus e norte-americanos, iniciados na primeira metade do século XIX, e cujo maior evento, foi sem dúvida a primeira apresentação moderna da &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Paixão Segundo São Mateu&lt;/span&gt;s, dirigida por Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847), na &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Stately Singakademie&lt;/span&gt;, em Berlim, no mês de Março de 1829.&lt;br /&gt;No caso do nosso país, os primeiros indícios deste interesse datam da primeira década do século XX, estando essencialmente associados às figuras de Ernesto Vieira, de Michel'angelo Lambertini e de Alfredo Keil que, neste sentido, deram, de facto, um contributo essencial na divulgação do repertório e dos instrumentos pré-clássicos. A constância do &lt;em&gt;leitmotiv&lt;/em&gt; filosófico que Wagner veio a constituir presta-se ao levantamento de um conjunto de questões.&lt;br /&gt;A primeira decorre simplesmente da constatação da excepcionalidade do dossier Wagner: (1) por que razão há, afinal, um “caso Wagner” em filosofia? A esta pergunta – cuja resposta inicial, necessária mas insuficiente, tende a elencar as condições de facto do caso (a polémica entre Nietzsche e Wagner, o contexto político e ideológico na Alemanha...) – importa acrescentar uma outra – que mais não é senão uma reformulação da primeira – que reelabore o problema &lt;em&gt;de jure&lt;/em&gt;. Ou seja, por mais exaustiva, certeira e pertinente que seja a explicação do “caso Wagner”, esta explicação, em si mesma, não explica por que razão a obra de Wagner, e não a de outro compositor, se transformou num “género filosófico”. A segunda questão é, portanto, concomitante com a formulação da hipótese segundo a qual o “caso Wagner” foi e permanece historicamente necessário: (2) de que forma, portanto, foi necessário que Wagner se transformasse num caso filosófico e em que medida permanece este hoje pertinente? Desta questão decorrem pelo menos mais três. (3) Qual o sentido e a consistência do bloco crítico representado pelas posições nietzschiana e adorniana a respeito da obra de Wagner (em particular, trata-se de questionar se elas são convergentes ou divergentes e em que medida)? (4) Qual o sentido do ressurgimento do debate na obra de Lacoue-Labarthe e, mais recentemente, no trabalho de Badiou e Zizek? JOÃO PEDRO REIGADO&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;De acordo com vários autores as vocalizações de conteúdo musical parecem evidentes durante a primeira infância, embora poucos tenham definido balbucio musical, de forma clara. Em Reigado (2007) verificou-se que, na presença de estímulos musicais, o comportamento vocal dos bebés observados (entre os 9 e os 11 meses) manifestava características distintas do observado face à estimulação linguística, nomeadamente: vocalizações de sons, movimentos sonoros e contornos melódicos que integram a tonalidade das melodias do estímulo musical, “afinação” de sons isolados, sobretudo das tónicas, exploração musical contextualizada e não ocorrência de vocalizações linguísticas, a não ser como elocuções funcionais e/ou emotivas. Não deixa no entanto de ser importante constatar que, quando apresentadas a um grupo de juízes, o número de vocalizações classificadas como musicais por aqueles especialistas diminui para respostas vocais que compreendam estruturas menos simples que sons isolados (Rocha, 2007). line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"&gt;Desde os anos 60 uma nova geração de compositores emerge, em Portugal, produzindo obras que quebram com a tradição compositiva anterior, mas que se integram perfeitamente nas correntes estéticas internacionais da época. Nesta comunicação pretendemos analisar duas obras que consideramos paradigmáticas da compositora Clotilde Rosa por manifestarem elementos relevantes deste movimento de ruptura com a tradição: Jogo Projectado I (1979), para pianista solo com projecção de slides e ‘multimedia’, e Jogo Projectado II (1981), para soprano, recitante, vários instrumentos e banda magnética, com projecção de slides e ‘multimedia’.&lt;br /&gt;Procuraremos integrar a obra da compositora nas correntes internacionais da época e identificar identidades com os artistas portugueses com quem concretizou, através de diversas formas de colaboração, algumas das suas criações. Iremos igualmente referir aqueles que mais influenciaram a sua escrita musical e concepção cénica (Jorge Peixinho, Constança Capdeville e igualmente o artista plástico Eduardo Sérgio).&lt;br /&gt;Esta comunicação reflecte o início de uma pesquisa mais vasta das tendências aqui nomeadas na produção de compositores portugueses nas décadas de 60 a 80 do século XX que optam por integrar elementos de outras vertentes artísticas, nomeadamente as áreas das artes plásticas, da poesia e do movimento (ou da gestualidade), nas suas obras.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%;font-family:Arial;font-size:16;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0pt; font-family: georgia;font-family:Arial;" &gt;A investigação do passado musical do Convento da Ordem de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo em Tomar, não era retomada desde há cem anos. Para isso concorriam dois factos de elevado peso histórico: a perda e destruição de manuscritos musicais originais em resultado das invasões francesas em Tomar, em 1810, e, a forte dispersão documental resultante da extinção das ordens religiosas em 1834. No entanto, o levantamento sistemático da documentação histórica disponível nos arquivos nacionais, aliada a novos e actuais estudos sobre a Ordem de Cristo e o Convento de Tomar, deu finalmente a conhecer que este foi um dos mais importantes centros de actividade musical em Portugal, com uma Capela de elevado nível musical, partir de finais do século XVI e, uma prática instrumental majestosa durante o século XVII. Surgem notícias de freires compositores, destacando-se Frei Fernando de Almeida (? - 1660), cuja música mereceu a atenção de D. João V para que fosse interpretada na Capela Real. Ofereceu ainda um assunto inesperado de estudo; a prática litúrgico-musical na Ordem do Templo que constituiu uma reflexão interessante sobre a vertente monástica das ordens militares, que encontram a sua principal vocação no combate pela defesa da fé de Cristo.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: georgia;" align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Palavras-chave:&lt;/strong&gt; Trata-se de um conceito vasto que, pelo menos desde a Antiguidade Clássica, tem estado assente em duas grandes linhas: por um lado, o avanço gradual e cumulativo do conhecimento; por outro, o aperfeiçoamento da condição moral do Homem. Este trabalho procura em primeiro lugar ilustrar as várias dimensões que ao longo da história estiveram associadas à ideia de progresso. Não se pretende um itinerário exaustivo mas sim destacar personalidades e contextos que parecem ter contribuído para os significados que foram envolvendo este conceito. Finalmente, partindo do caso da III República Francesa, fornece-se um breve exemplo de como a ideia de progresso integrou um debate ideológico onde a música assumia um papel central.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0pt; R. Garcia: “Traité complet sur l’art du chant”, escrito em 1847. Para tanto, serão usados vários exemplos musicais que ilustrem as ideias destes três autores. O objectivo é obter elementos que ajudem e enriqueçam a interpretação do repertório vocal contemporâneo a esses tratados, tornando-a mais fundamentada historicamente. The necessity of chronologically ordering the surprisingly large number of versions, only apparent at a later stage of the researching process, implied a detailed critical source study (mostly paper types and calligraphic studies), and a revision of the methodology. Para isso recorreu-se maioritariamente à iconografia medieval e à arqueologia medieval. Estava presente nas formas de decoração, tanto efémeras (por exemplo, carros alegóricos e álbuns festivos) como definitiva (painéis de azulejos, pintura, escultura). As "Metamorfoses" de Ovídio foi uma das obras de referência, da qual foram retiradas várias histórias que serviram de base aos artistas nacionais e estrangeiros.
